Abimbola Badejo obtains Guardianship Order in Nigeria
On 11th May 2018, a High Court in Nigeria granted a guardianship order to the special guardians who had been appointed in care proceedings in England. The special guardians reside in Nigeria and Nigerian Guardianship Order was required to regularise the child’s placement in Nigeria.
Sami succeeded for the executor on behalf of the deceased estate in his claim in respect of funds left in a joint bank account the deceased had with his daughter. The Daughter relied on the presumption of advancement but her evidence was found not be credible in this regard and the funds left on the deceased’s death ordered to revert to the estate.

Mark Eldridge was successful in securing convictions of S18 against 2 defendants and perverting the course of justice for 2 others after a month long trial at Blackfriars Crown Court. The sentences ranged from 14 months to 14 years.
