We act for defendants in criminal proceedings, from the time of the first Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing, to the conclusion of the proceedings against them (whether that results in an acquittal, a sentencing hearing or an appeal). We represent clients in bail applications. We recognise that a criminal conviction can be life changing, and ensure that we provide a high level of representation whether that is in order to secure an acquittal, to ensure that bail is granted or to provide effective mitigation in a sentencing hearing.
We ensure that our clients are advised at the outset on the court process (particularly where the case is transferred from the Magistrates Court to the Crown Court) and the potential outcome so that they can make informed decisions throughout. We fight hard to ensure the right result for our clients.
