Court of Protection

We have a fast growing Court of Protection practice focussing on health and welfare proceedings for vulnerable clients and Local Authorities. We have expertise in representing clients who lack capacity and in dealing with complex and emotional proceedings. We are conscious that such hearings are often highly charged, resulting in very difficult decisions for the parties and the Court to make. We are very good at negotiating suitable compromises where this is possible, and at representing parties sensitively where it is not. Our barristers are open minded and creative when advising on settlement, and will often find novel solutions to fit the distinct requirements of a case.

Our team is knowledgeable, empathetic and very good at communicating appropriately whether we appear for the protected party, another interested party or the Local Authority. In Court they are well prepared, determined and tenacious advocates.
