PI / Clinical Negligence / Inquests

We act in claims for personal injuries and clinical negligence, as well as representing individuals and companies at inquests. We act for Claimants and Defendants, and are frequently instructed by some of the country’s leading insurance companies. We are particularly experienced in acting for defendants following train crashes, and are very familiar with the relevant rules and regulations in respect of such incidents.

We act in claims dealing with injuries at all levels of severity, and in all levels of court. We are often instructed at an early stage in high value cases in order to provide consistency and strategic advice from the outset. However, we are equally adept at accepting instructions much closer to a hearing or trial. Our barristers are skilled at quickly assimilating the relevant information, providing pragmatic advice and are always fully and thoroughly prepared. Increasingly, personal injury claims involve arguments about fraud and fundamental dishonesty, and we have a lot of experience at dealing with these sorts of arguments as well as with the costs consequences which arise.

In respect of fatal accidents, we represent individuals and companies at inquests.  A number of our barristers have experience of representing parties at inquests, both non-Article 2 and Article 2 inquests. We are familiar with the inquest process, and are able to represent bereaved parties in a way which is assertive but sensitive. We are often then instructed to deal with any personal injury or clinical negligence claims which arise after the inquest, providing a smooth service to clients throughout what may be a lengthy process.
