Many courts are continuing to conduct hearings remotely. Our members have extensive experience of remote hearings, and can advise on preparation and tactics and effectively represent clients at such hearings. Kemi Ojitiku acted in the recent case of K (Children: Placement Orders) representing a father in long and complex proceedings regarding whether care and placement orders, and adoption orders, should be made. The CA ordered that the matter be remitted to a fresh tribunal.

Having built up a common law practice which encompassed family, criminal and civil work, Catherine now specialises in all areas of family law. Catherine is regularly instructed in matters involving both children (private and public) and finances. In relation to public law, she is instructed on behalf of local authorities, parents and wider family members in care, special guardianship and placement order applications. In private law Catherine appears in all matters relating to contact and residence disputes, s91(14) applications and removal from jurisdiction. Catherine's finance practice includes ancillary relief, Schedule 1 applications and TOLATA , often with foreign or high value assets. Catherine also deals with injunctive relief cases under the Family Law Act 1996. Catherine has appeared in all levels of court from the family proceedings court to the Court of Appeal.
