Kate accepts instructions in chambers’ main practice areas.
Kate regularly prosecutes and defends in the magistrates’ and Crown courts. She also has a broad civil practise, regularly appearing in county courts and primarily accepting instructions in personal injury, contract, and property disputes. She accepts instructions in all private law family matters.
Before coming to the Bar, Kate spent two years in the Financial Conduct Authority’s Enforcement Department assisting in the prosecution of insider dealing offences. She has also spent time as a legal assistant in the legal departments of Enfield and Guildford Borough Councils working on various aspects of local government law, including prosecutions for breaches of environmental and planning law, child protection cases, and judicial reviews. Kate also has a knowledge of special educational needs law having volunteered for IPSEA, a legal charity, as an adviser.
